This design is inspired by a highland friend who loves to collect Oak leaves. He tells me this is because each Oak leaf you find is individually different, for this reason each leaf of the cantle is unique in shape. This design is now exclusive to a Highland clan Chief. The Chiefs family is the only one in Europe to have Oak leafs as the mantling on their heraldry. However if you love oak leaves too, we can work on your own personal design.

Oak leaf cantle cut from Ox horn, brass acorn finials cast in Edinburgh , hand made gold tassels made in the shape of acorns. The body of the sporran is grey cashmere goat hide from Cumbria tanned on the Isle of Skye.

The sporran is made from Italian leather tanned using vegetable extract rather than chemicals. The colour is inspired by antique military examples which are red. The lining of the sporran are in green suede. The sporran has credit card slots and a pocket for small change.

Each sporran comes with a grosgrain and leather belt, finished with hand made brass buckle and tip. This grosgrain is the same material traditionally used on lapels of dinner jackets. The sporran is delivered in a felt like oak case so that this clan relic can be passed down through the generations.
